This is a brief example of how Visualization works;

Take the first step in faith and close your eyes and see and feel and taste and smell eating a piece of lemon. 
Bite into its juicy flesh. Swish the juices of it around in your mouth. Is your mouth salivating yet? 
(I know mine is - I can sure identify with the little girl below. Good job ;-)

                                 

Now, with your eyes closed, and knowing that you are perfectly safe in this sacred space, see someone 
close to you who has passed on to the other side of the veil. Allow yourself to see their face. 

What did they use to smell like? Smell that. Did you use to have coffee or tea together? Did they used to cook 
or bake something for you that you miss having? Smell those smells and taste those familiar dishes and baking. 

What is the person wearing? Feel the fabric of their clothing. Is the material coarse and heavy, or soft or silky? 
Are the colors vibrant or muted?

Touch the face of the person who passed on. How does that feel? If it's a lady's face, is it soft? Can you smell the 
cream she used? How about her perfume? If it's a man's face, is there beard stubble or a beard or mustache, or is 
the face smoothly shaven? Does he smell of aftershave or was there a certain cologne he used to wear? Or perhaps 
he didn't wear anything at all.

Is this person smiling at you? Winking at you? Really allow yourself to see and feel and smell and taste all of the above. 
Now, ask this person to give you a hug. How does that feel?

Release yourself to the experience and just be with this person in this safe space. Visit with them for a while. 
What are they telling you? Is there something you would like to tell them? Now is the time to share your feelings 
with them, and for them to share their feelings with you.

Keep your eyes closed for a little while longer and visualize a bright white light connecting you to Mother Earth 
and Father Sky. The top of your head is the Crown Chakra, and the Base or Root Chakra is located just below 
your genitals. Make your 5 other chakras as small as the head of a nail. The five chakras located between the 
Crown and Base Chakra are (from the Base Chakra) the Sex Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, the Heart Chakra
the Throat Chakra, and the Third Eye Chakra. 

When you are ready, you can go ahead and open your eyes slowly and return to the room. You may feel floaty a
nd a bit disoriented and that's okay, and very normal, as you just had an out of body experience. So allow yourself 
to sit for a while. Have a few glasses of water to ground yourself back into the Mother Earth.
